One supermarket, four communities
Sangam Indian Supermarket started as an Indian grocer and grew into the pantry for a much wider part of South West Sydney. Alongside the spices, rice, dals and sweets Indian households shop for every week, we stock the staples that Sri Lankan, Nepali and Fijian families in Edmondson Park used to have to travel further for: string hoppers and coconut milk powder, chiura and gundruk, Fiji bread flour and cassava. It is one shop instead of three or four, on the ground floor of the same building as our restaurant and pooja store.
Fresh produce is restocked through the week rather than left to sit, and the sweets counter is made fresh in-house, not shipped in frozen. If you are cooking for a specific festival or a big family gathering, call ahead and we will tell you what is in stock before you drive over.
